Volkswagen has revealed a first glimpse of its new Crafter large van at the BAUMA global construction trade fair in Munich, Germany.
Visitors to the show, which is held every three years, are able to view a virtual reality image of the Crafter, which VW is set to unveil in the metal at the Hanover CV Show in September.
Using virtual reality glasses, visitors can take a look at the versatility of the Crafter’s load space, VW said.
The manufacturer claimed the new vehicle’s solid wood loading floor makes it ideal for the installation of racking and storage systems, while special adapters cut out of the floor covering as well as the roof enable flexible installation and removal of equipment without gluing or drilling.
VW is also displaying a Caddy Alltrack, a Transporter chassis cab with specialised equipment and the special edition Amarok Atacama pick-up at the event, which is taking place from 11 to 17 April 2016.
