Amarok to get UK debut at CV Show

Volkswagen has announced it is to give a UK debut to its Amarok pick-up truck at the Commercial Vehicle Show on 12 April.
The double-cab Amarok will be the main attraction in a display that will include nine other models from the brand’s commercial vehicle line-up.
Having kept its show plans under wraps until late in the day, Volkswagen said it would also exhibit a model from its heritage collection in the shape of a fully restored 1954 split-screen “barn door” Transporter.
Another highlight will be the premiere of the new Caddy Racer, ahead of its track debut, with UK CV boss Simon Elliott once more behind the wheel, in the opening round of the 2011 Volkswagen Racing Cup on 25 April at Oulton Park.
Focusing on the show, Elliott said: “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is proud to be back at this year’s CV Show, which is a very important date in the commercial vehicle calander. We are extremely excited to finally introduce the Amarok to UK buyers.”
