Brandon Hire opts for Ducato conversions

Bristol-based specialist tool supplier Brandon Hire has taken delivery of six Fiat Ducato low loaders following conversion by KFS Special Vehicles.

The vehicles are based on the Ducato 33 B2B chassis 3.3 Multijet 11 130hp model and are all fitted with a 68mph speed limiter and a single passenger seat.

Fiat Professional dealer Adams Morey, of Southampton, supplied the base vehicles which, following conversion, will be used to transport light plant and equipment to customers.

The transporters have a rear loading height of 530mm and a torsion sprung taigate/ramp.

Brandon Hire’s fleet and logistics manager Steve Pensom said: “We chose the Ducato Back to Back due to its ability to carry a mini-digger without the need to tow a trailer.”

He added that a crucial factor in choosing the Ducato was that anyone with a standard car licence can drive the vehicle – enabling the firm to minimise costs and maximise staff levels.
