Ingimex gets type approval go-ahead for chassis conversions

Conversion specialist Ingimex has been issued with type approval numbers for its N1 (up to 3.5 tonne) range of body conversions for Ford Transit, Nissan NV400, Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano chassis cabs in accordance with European Whole Vehicle Type Approval rules (ECWVTA), which came into force on 29 April 2013.
Included in the scope of the type approval are options such as toolboxes, footsteps and grab handles, but also more substantial modifications such as tail-lifts, cranes and tow bars. Operators can order the body and extras they require directly from Ingimex, rather than having them fitted elsewhere, post registration.
“Achieving European Whole Vehicle Type Approval means we can still provide our customers with our full range of chassis cab conversions with no implications to price or delivery,” said Ingimex boss Justin Gallen.
