VW's Engineered to Go Luton van

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new range of conversions under its Engineered to Go banner.

The revamped programme is beginning with Tipper, Dropside and Luton conversions for the Crafter, available to buy direct from the standard price list.

It will eventually also cover the Caddy and Transporter, and include the likes of  fridge/freezer conversions, minibuses and a service workshop.

The first products are produced by converter Ingimex, with the Dropside costing from £31,470, the Tipper from £33,310, and the Luton from £36,220, with all prices excluding VAT.

The Dropside and Tipper are available as a single or double cab, while the Luton is single cab only.

The Dropside is modified ready for the addition of fall arrest rails or tail lifts, the Tipper features tipping functions controlled by wander lead, and the Luton has a four-tier load restraint system for deck lashing, standard load lock lashing or for use with optional Ingimex telescopic load pole.

VW says the Engineered to Go programme allows customers to get the vehicles they need with a single invoice and matching vehicle and conversion warranty.

Specialist sales manager Nick Axtell said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the details of the new Engineered To Go programme which extends the number of conversions on offer to our customers.

“Having these van solutions available as off-the-shelf products ensures we are able to respond to the demands of businesses quickly and efficiently.

“Beyond our Engineered To Go programme there is still the option to customise a van even further to suit the needs of your business with specialist and bespoke conversions.”
