Europcar has announced that the vans in its AdVANtage long-term rental fleet have benefited from 20% less downtime since being supported by Rivus Fleet Solutions’s SMR (service, maintenance and repair) service.
Rivus Fleet Solutions – known as BT Fleet Solutions before its sale to Aurelius Group – has been supporting Europcar for the last six months by providing access to its network of garages and mobile technicians.
So far, there have been 82 call outs for the SMR service, of which 77 were answered by the Rivus mobile units and five handled at Rivus workshops.
Stuart Russell, commercial vehicle sales director, said: “The majority of our vehicles on long-term rental are mission-critical for our customers. It’s therefore not surprising that the mobile units from Rivus Fleet Solutions are the first choice for many of our customers when they need SMR assistance.”
“However, the Rivus workshops are also playing a crucial role in handling more complex jobs, such as vehicle equipment fitting.”
When a van needs to be off the road for repairs or servicing, Rivus Fleet Solutions also has access to specialist replacement vehicles.
