Ford has revealed the new E-Tourneo Custom – the passenger-carrying version of the upcoming E-Transit Custom van.

It features a 217hp electric motor, and a 74kWh battery, from which Ford is targeting up to 230 miles of range. 125kW charging capability will allow a 15-80% recharge in around 41 minutes.

The model will have a maximum towing capacity of 2,000kg.

Alongside the electric version, Ford has also announced the new diesel-powered Tourneo Custom, with a choice of 136hp, 150hp, and 170hp outputs.

Also available will be a plug-in hybrid, with a petrol engine paired with an electric motor, allowing a targeted electric driving range of 31 miles.

Available features with the new Tourneo Custom range, which will offer seating for up to eight occupants in electric form and up to nine with other powertrains, include track-mounted rear seating, hands-free power side doors, a B&O audio system, digital key cards, a panoramic glass roof, and a tilting steering wheel.

There will also be full integration with Ford Pro software and connected services, including end-to-end charging solutions, management tools from Ford Pro Telematics, the FordPass Pro app, and the FORDLiive connected uptime system.

The first deliveries of the new diesel Tourneo Custom will take place in mid-2023, with other variants arriving later in the year. Prices are yet to be announced.
