Fiat Professional has opened orders for its new Doblo van, including the E-Doblo electric variant.

The new Doblo is based on the same platform as compact vans offered by other brands in the Stellantis group, including the Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, and Vauxhall Combo, while the Toyota Proace City also has the same underpinnings.

Powertrain options are familiar from those models, with the E-Doblo featuring a 136hp electric motor and a 50kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 175 miles on the official WLTP cycle, while a 100kW charging capacity allows an 80% charge to be completed inside 30 minutes.

The new Doblo is also available with 100hp and 130hp diesel engines, and a 110hp petrol.

Three different bodytypes can be specced – short-wheelbase panel van, long-wheelbase panel van, and long-wheelbase crew van. Load volumes are 3.3m3, 3.9m3, and 3.5mrespectively.

The new Doblo is said to be available with up to 18 driver assistance systems, including the Magic Mirror system, which uses two rear cameras to help with manoeuvring.

Also available is the Magic Cargo feature, which allows the passenger side seat to be raised, increasing load volume by 0.5m3.

Prices for the new Doblo start at £18,855, excluding VAT, while the E-Doblo starts at £27,855, excluding VAT and including the UK Government’s plug-in van grant.
